Your Vehicle: 24/7 GPS Tracking Protection

There’s always a first time for everything, and having a 24 hour vehicle protection is not exceptional. The question in today’s Gps tracking devices-reiVRE Hot Pulse is – “what benefits do GPS tracking bring in your car?"

GPS Tracking Protects Your Vehicle: GPS began in the 80's. It was first developed for the military. Now the usefulness of this product is available to the average consumer.

-------

24/7 GPS Tracking Protects Your Vehicle

GPS technology had been used in police vehicles a long time before it became available to the average consumer. These items are meant to allow a stolen police car to be found rather easily by simply using GPS tracking technology to locate the car. Then further police are dispatched to the location to apprehend the criminal and recover the car. The good news is that it is now possible to use the same technology to protect your car.

GPS tracking is not new technology. It began in the 1980s when it was first developed for the military. It was originally meant to help keep track of troops and movements; as well as create a sophisticated mapping system to help commanders find their way over rough and unknown terrain. Today that same technology is so advanced that it is possible to track in real time and create histories of where the device has been. And GPS technology is available to anyone, and at a fairly reasonable price.

When you use GPS tracking in your car, you receive more than just driving directions in an unfamiliar city. You can also know where your car is. While it is nice to have this information to keep tabs on partying teenagers, it can also help you in the event that your car is stolen. When you have a tracking system, and your car is stolen, you are more likely to get it back relatively unharmed. This is because you can find it immediately, rather than having it discovered in pieces weeks later as part of an illegal car parts ring.

Your GPS tracking system can help you get your car back and have the satisfaction of knowing that the person who stole it is off the streets and headed to jail. You can let the police see where your car is (and where it is headed) and this is an immense help to them. One of the best ways to protect your property is to know where it is. And you can always know where your car is when you have it equipped with GPS tracking.

GPS and Cell Phones : A Sweet Wedding

There’s always a first time for everything, and having Cell Phone with GPS features is not exceptional. The question in today’s Gps tracking devices-reiVRE Hot Pulse is – “what benefits do GPS features add in a Cell Phone?"

GPS and Cell Phones: Today, most cell phones are not just limited to carry on a conversation. GPS features are now being added to the list.
---------

GPS and Cell Phones

GPS (Global Positioning System) was funded, developed and controlled by the US Department of Defense. Since the late seventies, GPS has become an important aid to navigation around the world. It was first designed for the US military, GPS became publicly available years later and it is now considered an important feature in lots of consumer products.

How does GPS work? There are three elements that make everything work: satellites, earth monitoring stations and receivers. GPS provides specially coded satellite signals that can be processed in a GPS receiver, enabling the receiver to compute position, velocity and time.

Today, most cell phones are not just limited to carry on a conversation. Features like mp3 player, digital camera and video camera have all become standards in the latest cell phone models. It is expected that the GPS feature will soon be added to this list, and it will offer the capability of tracking any cell phone user.

The capability of tracking a cell phone user becomes important in emergency situations, like a car accident, thru the use of 911 emergency phone calls, where every minute may be a matter of life or death. In situation like this, the GPS system may pinpoint the exact location of the road accident, enabling emergency services to be quickly dispatched.

It is important to mention that so far most GPS system in cell phone is restricted to tracking information only. However, one can have navigational capability thru the use of full screen cell phone/PDA combos with map displays and other cellular phone accessories, and third party paid services. If one does not want to sign up for a monthly paid subscription service, he can make use of one-time-paid-only software programs that will enable some of the navigational capabilities.

Although there are many benefits in using GPS cell phones, there are some people who are concerned about the violation of personal privacy. Since the US Congress has not authorized location tracking without actual evidence of wrongdoing, there have been court hearings which have not approved the requests of government agencies in obtaining the cell phone GPS tracking information for suspects or ordinary citizens.

This privacy matter has made some progress towards the cell phone users right, since there are some laws that have been passed which guarantees that GPS cell phone users will have some protection from the release of the tracking information, with the exception of 911 emergency cell phone calls. It is expected that these laws will guarantee that the benefits of GPS in cell phones will be enjoyed by everyone without infringing anybody's privacy.

Sometimes when there is a technological innovation, there are also some concerns about privacy or some rights infringements. But no matter how much of a concern this is, it seems that a compromise will always have to be reached, so that new technologies will take their places in everyone's lives. After all, we all live in a globalized consumer world. By the way, have you already got your GPS cell phone?

Can Anyone Benefit from the Technology GPS Device?

There’s always a first time for everything, and finding out if GPS device is right for you is not exceptional. The question in today’s Gps tracking devices-reiVRE Hot Pulse is – "Can anyone benefit from the technology GPS device?"

Everyone anywhere can benefit from the technology of GPS.

-------

Is GPS Right for You

When you get lost who would rather just drive around town for hours than ask someone for directions? If so, a GPS (Global Positioning System), could be just what you need.

A GPS is an operational navigational system that employs the use of navigational satellites. In other words, it tracks an individual's location or provides direction, all by using an existing satellite system. GPS units are also capable of providing real time reference on earth, or within its orbit.

The satellite navigation system was first implemented and used by the USA's Department of the Defense. Later, the system was adopted for use by foreign countries including Europe (Galileo) and Russia (GLONASS). Today in the United States, any US citizen may use the navigational system, free of charge.

The satellite navigational system is primarily divided into three segments:

* Space: As the name suggests, the space segment works from outer space. It operates through a GPS satellite constellation, located in an Intermediate Circular Orbit.

* Control: The control segment of a satellite navigational system is comprised entirely of control stations that are located on earth. These terrestrial control stations are scattered at locations around the world. These control the flight paths of the various GPS satellites, and synchronize the atomic clocks in the satellite. Ground stations also monitor the uploading of data through the satellite transmissions.

* User: The satellite navigational system is mainly made up of civilian and military GPS receivers.

A GPS is technically comprised of 24 satellites, the minimum number of satellites in a constellation. These satellites orbit around six orbital planes, twice in every twenty-four hour period. Each satellite carries an atomic clock, which continuously transmits precise time to the ground observatories located in the Earth. Additionally, the satellites send electronic messages to the earth. These messages may include data on precise time based upon the onboard satellite clocks, or information on their own orbital systems.

It's not necessary for the user to be equipped with the precise clock, however a good short term clock may be required in order to receive the satellite transmissions best used in determining the exact location on earth. Different satellites employ various sequencing modes, allowing the transmission of messages to be received by the user from satellites using similar frequencies.

The primary GPS system was created to provide control over the military forces in the United States. This allowed for improved command capability, as well as the targeting and manipulation of missiles, smart bombs and other forms of ammunition. The satellites are also able to detect nuclear detonators.

Civilian users can also access the GPS system through their GPS receivers and GPS system software. Many cities in highly urbanized countries have improved the lives of their citizens where access is available to the free worldwide GPS Standard Positioning Service. The transportation sector has greatly benefited from the system, as many planes, ships and cars employ GPS systems for navigation. Hikers, glider pilots, mine truck drivers and everyday travelers enjoy access to the GPS system through low cost GPS receivers, ranging in price from $100 to $200. GPS receivers that are more precise are widely used by land surveyors for measuring land surface area, locating boundaries and surveying markers.

Time code generators also rely on the GPS system to acquire accurate time for precisely recording events in real time. Developers are also working on specially created GPS systems that will help visually impaired individuals.

Another, more trendy use of GPS receivers is the widely popular hobby of Geocaching. Children and adults use hand held GPS receivers to navigate designated sites and locate hidden objects. There are countless Geocaches hidden all over the world, with coordinates available on Geocaching websites.

The GPS system has brought both excitement and simplicity to the lives of countless people, all over the world. Despite the complexity of the system, anyone with a GPS receiver can use the service, free of charge. So now you'll have no excuse for getting lost.

Thinking about buying a GPS? Find out which device is right for you.

There’s always a first time for everything, and finding out which GPS device is right for you is not exceptional. The question in today’s Gps tracking devices-reiVRE Hot Pulse is – "How do you go about selecting the right GPS device?"

Thinking about buying a GPS? Find out which device is right for you.

-------
Choosing a Handheld GPS

If you are thinking about buying a handheld GPS (Global Positioning System), then chances are you already have an idea of what these items are and how they can make your life easier. In fact, many people are starting to look into these very useful GPS devices, since they quite literally tell you were you are in the world. Obviously if you are active in outdoor sports, such as golf, hiking, or fishing or the like, a GPS can be a very handy item, giving you piece of mind that you will always know exactly where you are. With a GPS, you never need to fear getting lost in the wilderness ever again.

When it comes to choosing a handheld GPS, the first step is to know what you will be using it for. For example, the best GPS for hiking in the Canadian Rockies may not be as useful if you are trying to navigate the city streets of London. Moreover, if you are using your GPS in a boat or car, as well as when walking, you should look for a multipurpose unit.

GPS receivers perform so many functions that you need to decide which ones right one for you. For example, the basic GPS simply displays the latitude and longitude of your location. While it might include routes and tracks, the basic variety will not include maps or points of interest.

If you do require maps as well as location details, you should opt for a Mapping Handheld GPS which has the power to download maps from CD-Roms sources such as Garmin MapSource, and Magellan Mapsend. A Mapping Auto GPS is the perfect answer if you are exploring in your car, and likewise the Marine GPS is the ideal choice if you are planning to do a lot of boating.

Before you select your handheld GPS, be sure to consider how you will be using it. Again, what is needed for hiking in the wilderness may not be appropriate for urban adventures! Speaking with knowledgeable staff can make you decision a lot easier!

GPS Tracking System: How is it Important for Your Kid's Safety ?

There’s always a first time for everything, Getting GPS System is not exceptional. The question in today’s GPS Tracking Devices - reiVRE Hot Pulse is – "How does it helps for your kid recently obtained a driving license?"

Now you are probably constantly worried if she or he is driving safely. And you also wonder where they go. There is a little piece of modern technology that can help parents who are worried about whereabouts of their children - it is called GPS tracking system.

Has your kid recently obtained a driving license? Now you are probably constantly worried if she or he is driving safely. And you also wonder where they go. There is a little piece of modern technology that can help parents who are worried about whereabouts of their children - it is called GPS tracking system.

With GPS tracking you can reasonably accurately know where your son's or daughter's car is at any given time.

We all know that young drivers are often at risk. They are less experienced and more arrogant than those who have been driving for many years. Teenagers are more likely to take unnecessary risks and drive at high speed. But luckily for you, you can monitor their speed too. GPS tracking systems offer speed monitoring. So you will always know if your kids don't obey the road rules.

Also if their car breaks down or there is an accident, GPS system will tell you straight away. Even if your child has no idea where he or she is, GPS vehicle tracker will give you an accurate location. You receive the data from the tracking system to your home computer or even mobile phone in real time.

Knowing where your kids are

And of course, the main function of GPS vehicle tracking system is to tell you the exact location of your child's car. So if, for example, you don't want them to drive certain busy and dangerous roads or go to certain places, you will know if they go there or not. This way he or she can't say that they go to the city library to study, but go to a party instead.

GPS tracking installation

Most systems are small and easy to install. They are only about a size of your TV remote control and are usually powered by batteries that need to be changed about once a month. The technology itself is free and is controlled by US government, so there will be no monthly fees. You only pay for the hardware and the software once. Tracking devices are not cheap - a good one will cost you 400-500 dollars. However, when you think that you are really investing in the safety of your family, it is a small price to pay.

Should you tell your kids that there is a tracking device in their car or not? Tracking other people cars without the knowledge of the owner is illegal, but that doesn't apply to parents tracking their kids. So it is really up to you. However, it might be a good idea to tell your teens that you are installing a tracking device for their safety. If you install it secretly and than your son or daughter finds out that he or she has been tracked, they will never believe it is for their own good.

GPS System - How Important Are They ?

There’s always a first time for everything, Getting GPS System is not exceptional. The question in today’s GPS Tracking Devices - reiVRE Hot Pulse is – "What is the best kind of GPS system for you?"

This depends on what you intend to use it for. Auto GPS Systems can take frustrating road travel and transform it to simple, easy and fun travel.

Garmin 12 GPS is very good. There are various models of the 12, 12XL etc. They can be found for under $150. The altimeter is usually off but once you find your position, most of the time the map tells me what my altitude is. They have a pretty decent battery life since you rarely ever use your GPS for 12 hours straight.

The vendors selling GPS Tracking Device are Garmin and Magellan, those are good brands and can meet your requirements quite well. There is a third player, Brunton (compass makers gone hi-tech). They make very reasonably priced GPS units with lots of bells and whistles. Garmin GPS records the distance travelled, speed, average speed, etc. Make sure you get good battery life and enough memory to be useful.

Mitac Mio 168 comes out well for my requirements but is more expensive, especially if you go for the tom tom mapping software too (voice directions when I'm out on my motorbike!)

Most of the functions on GPS of this sort you can get from a map. Maps on pure GPS are not as good as on a GPS/PDA but good maps for these are usually expensive. Some mountain rescue team members use PDAs with 1:25000 OS mapping data for recording search patterns etc.

You really need to look at your own plans - for instance, most backpackers use GPS Vehicle Tracker to "confirm" their position, and they don't use it to set waypoints, determine compass direction, navigate, etc. Many backpackers use it as an emergency navigation tool in Utah's deep, narrow canyons, where a map and compass can be almost useless.

One word of warning, take very seriously the statement on the front of all GPS units "Do not rely on this unit as the primary source of your navigation." It's always a good idea to have a map and compass with you when engaging in wilderness travel and use them right along with the GPS. It can actually be kind of fun to see how accurate you are with a compass and compare map routes with GPS routes to see why you ended up going the way you did.

What are the numbers on a compass for and how do you use a compass? The numbers on the compass are for degrees or headings. They will tell you what direction to proceed on. The first thing you need to do is figure out what kind of compass you have, a floating dial or a floating needle.

As to emergency contact, you could buy an expensive Iridium/satellite phone - they can get a signal just like a GPS does. They run over $1,000. It may also be possible to rent one. For real emergencies, not simply a vehicle breakdown, there is a GPS Tracking device, much like ONStar (GM trademark), that can send an emergency signal. The final thing to do is to check in at the local ranger station, BLM office, forest service visitor center, etc., and see about leaving your itinerary with them, as well as a promise to check-out with them when leaving. If you don't check in, they would send someone out to check on you.

WOW ! Essentially Two Types of Auto GPS Systems

There’s always a first time for everything, Using GPS Tracking Devices is not exceptional. The question in today’s GPS Tracking Devices - reiVRE Hot Pulse is – "GPS Tracking Devices System is real here to help you?"

Traditional paper road map fold outs and booklets are quickly being replaced by auto GPS devices as a long distance travelers mandatory tool of choice. Since GPS technology has been transformed from a purely military use and have recently in the past ten years been made readily available to almost everybody, more and more vehicle navigator systems have been introduced.

There are essentially only two types of auto GPS systems, the favorite variety being the bigger and usually fixed (not portable) global positioning devices. Some tag this particular type of electronic guide as the, true car navigator, as it is more exact and easy to use than its other counter part. It has an adequately sized display screen that can be very easily viewed even at an arms length. It also has a clear voice guidance feature which prompts the driver when and where to turn or notifies the person if a designated point of interest is already near.

The second type of auto GPS system generally covers the smaller and more portable ones. They also have the same functions and features as their bigger counter parts. However, hand held automobile global positioning system devices are not very easy to use. They have a small screen that makes it difficult for drivers to immediately consult it without having to stop and look at the details displayed on LCD. While some can manage to drive and look at it at the same time (not recommended), studies have shown that this could be perilous.

Vehicle GPS devices can be an indispensable tool for those who frequently travel by land to new destinations, towns or cities. It could spare them from taking occasional embarrassing stops in order to ask for directions. While traditional road map design has certainly improved over the years, it cannot provide real time prompts or updates like their electronic versions that can save drivers from long delays or dangerous situations that can be easily avoided.

Car GPS units are not just for the topographically illiterate (those who can not read a map). Knowing the main roads and passageways are usually fairly easy to memorize, however traffic and road closures are impossible to predict. If you combine not knowing the roads and passageways plus not knowing the traffic and news of road closures, GPS systems sound even more attractive. Since Auto GPS System devices are regularly being updated by the satellites on weather and road conditions, drivers will be efficiently advised as to what roads to take in order to pass up heavy traffic.

What Are The Benefits of GPS Vehicle Tracking

There’s always a first time for everything, having GPS Tracking Device is not exceptional. The question in today’s GPS Tracking Devices - reiVRE Hot Pulse is – "Why does it makes sense to invest in a GPS tracking system?"

GPS vehicle tracking system devices have certainly advanced from their roots as military tools used in the early eighties. They are almost a necessity now a days and in fact many vehicle manufacturers are having them built in standard at the factory. Businesses are also using Global Positioning Systems (GPS) to keep track and manage their vehicle fleet. Last but certainly not least, private owners are now using them for navigation, replacing hard to read maps, with often time vocal automated guidance systems while getting the extra benefit of helping safeguard against vehicle theft.

What Are The Benefits of GPS Vehicle Tracking

Efficient Driving and Navigation: Small and portable devices containing detailed location maps are common place in vehicles today. Ideal if you are driving to an unknown location, they can provide real-time driving instructions and even traffic safety information. Eliminate the frustrations that go along with getting lost and trying to read bulky maps. You will also save on gas (with gas prices so high this will pay for the system in no time) and never have to stop for directions in scary locations again. Transform your entire driving experience.

Vehicle Tracking: These simple and helpful devices, which only advise of the location of the vehicle, are freely available. These systems have gained so much in popularity that sales of these devices actually outnumber those for the navigational GPS systems. Real time data or simply recording data for subsequent retrieval are two of the modes of operation for these devices.

Lower Insurance Premiums: Here is another way to help pay for your GPS quickly, today many car insurance companies will offer lower insurance premiums for vehicles that have GPS or other anti theft devices fitted.

Information Recorded

Vehicle tracking devices provide detailed positioning information for the car, including latitude, longitude, and speed of the vehicle, its direction and travel history. The more sophisticated GPS devices can provide more data. The ease of use of this information for tracking fleets of vehicles is obvious.

Which vehicle Tracking Device is Right For You?

Depending on your budget and specific requirements, there are many vehicle tracking devices available. Think about your requirements before choosing so that you do not purchase a more expensive model with features which you will never use. If your main need is for travel and navigation assistance then a simple vehicle tracking device is not in your best interest. Your best bet is to research your options online for free before you make a "cash" decision.
